Simple Houses: Gothic Revival Cottage

    
    
    
        
        Picturesque Gothic Revival cottage with steeply pitched wood
        shingle clad roof, centered gable with decorative verge boards
        and one story entry porch with flattened Gothic arches.




Central gable with decorative verge boards and cross bracing
 capped with a finial.  Paired second floor four/four double hung
 sash have decorative lancet arched false shaping above windows.

Simple wood columns have imposts that support the flattened
 arch brackets between the entry porch columns.   Two diagonally
located entry doors are recessed behind the cased opening of the
porch with flat paneled pilasters and an elliptical head.

Side elevation featuring simple attic dormer with finial and
 decorative gable trim with no cross bracing.   First floor
 window has a gabled window crown and the second story
 window has a lancet arch window crown.
